The Content section of the workspace sidebar lists the content types this workspace can use:
| Group | What is in it |
|---|---|
| Favorites | Types you pinned. Appears once something is pinned. |
| Collections | Types with many entries — articles, authors, products. |
| Pages | One entry each — a home page, site settings. |
- Pin a type with its pin toggle. Pins are yours alone.
- A collection opens its records table. A page opens straight into the editor.
- Types this workspace uses from a shared workspace show a From Library entry, one per source.
The overview
Open Content without picking a type and you get an overview of the workspace: its name, how many records, collections and pages it has, and
- Recently edited — the newest saves across its types, each with its type, status and when;
- Not live yet — how many live records have saved changes that aren’t published, per type, with the drafts that have never been published as a footnote;
- a card per collection — its record count, when it was last updated, and a bar of published · modified · drafts said in words under it;
- a card per page — its one record’s status.
Only this workspace’s own types are summarised; types from a shared workspace are in the sidebar.
The records table
Search, filters, sorting and paging all run on the server — a collection of 100,000 rows behaves like one of 10.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Views | A row of tabs over the list: All records, each saved view, + View, and Trash at the far end — see below |
| Status chips | Published, Modified and Draft, on a publishable type — one click shows only those records; click the lit chip again to clear it |
| Search | Free text across text, rich-text and choice fields |
| Filters | Nested and/or conditions on fields, including across relations (author.name contains ada). Applied conditions show as blue chips under the toolbar, each with its own remove button, and Clear all |
| Sort | Click a column header; click again to reverse |
| Columns | Pick and reorder by drag-and-drop or keyboard |
| Selection | Row checkboxes and select-all raise a selection bar — see bulk actions |
| Add record | Opens the create form |
| More actions (⋯) | Import… (if installed) |
Plugins add their own: a Locales column and filters on translated types, a Review column on reviewed types, a Checks column and Save as alarm from alarms, and an audience filter once a segment exists.
Filters use the same grammar as the public API, so developers can reuse what you build — see filtering.
The status chips show their counts, except on a translated type. Published at is offered as a filter field on a publishable type.
Saved views
Since 0.12.0 each saved view is a tab. A collection with none still shows All records and + View (New view from the current list), so the place to make one is always in sight.
- Change the list while a view is open and its tab gets a dot; Save, Save as new and Reset appear after the tabs.
- Your default view carries a star, a view shared with the workspace a people icon.
- A view’s own menu opens from the ▾ on the selected tab, by clicking the selected tab again, or by right-clicking any tab (Shift+F10 from the keyboard): Rename (F2), Duplicate, Copy link, Set as my default / Clear my default, Shared with workspace and Delete view…. Renaming, sharing and deleting are the owner’s; a colleague’s shared view still offers the rest.
- Rename in the tab: F2 or a double-click turns the name into a field. Enter saves, Esc cancels.
- Duplicate saves a personal copy named … (copy) and opens it. Copy link copies the list’s address with that view.
- Tabs that don’t fit fold into N more, a searchable list grouped Yours and Shared. The selected view always keeps its tab.
More on views — what they save and who can share them — is on saved views.
Status
| Label | Means | On the live site |
|---|---|---|
| Not saved yet | The create form — nothing stored | — |
| Draft | Never published | Not shown |
| Modified | Published before, saved since | The last published version is shown; your newer edits are not |
| Published | Live and current | Shown as is |
Modified means you have unpublished edits. Publish to put them live. The badge’s tooltip says it: Published, with saved changes that aren’t live yet. Publish to make them live.
Shared records
When your workspace uses records from a shared workspace:
- Open From Library under the type to browse them. The top bar carries a Shared · Library badge; the records are read-only in this workspace.
- You can link them from your own records (the relation picker’s Source filter narrows by workspace), but not edit them here.
- If a type is available only from shared workspaces, the page says so and there is no Add record.
The search palette
⌘K / Ctrl+K inside a workspace searches all its content — the quickest way to a record whose type you forget.
Bulk actions
- Tick rows.
- A bar floats up at the bottom of the work area — 2 selected of 5 — with Publish and Unpublish, a Bulk actions menu (⋯) for what plugins add, such as Export, then Delete, and ✕ to clear the selection.
A bulk publish previews first, showing which entries will pass the publish gate before anything happens. In the trash, the bar offers Restore and Delete permanently.
Trash
On types with soft delete, the Trash tab at the end of the views row lists deleted records. Restore them, or delete permanently (cannot be undone). Types without a trash delete immediately and for good.
A delete confirmation says what links to the record first — for example 3 records link to this entry, 2 of them live. Moved to the trash, the links are kept but the content API stops serving the record to those records; restoring it brings them back. For a permanent delete it says which records would be deleted with it (a required link whose foreign key cascades), which block it (the delete is refused until those links are removed), and how many simply lose their link.
A link to a record that is in the trash shows that record’s title with an In trash mark, in the editor and in the records table.
What is not here
No content tree, and no drafts of drafts
Entries are a flat list per type — no folders or nesting; order them by sorting a column. Each entry has exactly one draft; earlier saves are in version history.
